About

The Alley House was designed by Ball State School of Architecture to be owned by Englewood CDC and affordably rented to an Indianapolis family.  The home is part of a greater effort in urban renewal, and it’s thoughtful construction and energy efficient and sustainable design will serve as a leading space in the future of residential development.  The Alley House was named Overall Grand Winner of the 2023 Solar Decathlon Build Challenge, an international competition by the US Department of Energy.  To find out more visit Ball State’s 2023 Build Challenge
